Story Rock Adoption Applications

Story Rock adoption applications are intended to be completed and submitted by a parent, legal guardian, or other responsible adult on behalf of a child.

Information submitted through an adoption application may be used to administer the Story Rock Adoption Lottery, select and match children with available Story Rocks, contact the adult submitting the application, complete an adoption, and communicate information related to the Story Rock program.

If a child is selected for an adoption opportunity, notification will be sent to the adult email address provided on the application.

Children should not submit Story Rock adoption applications or provide personal contact information directly through this website.

Children’s Privacy

Every Rock Has a Story is a children’s book series created for children and families. However, the transactional and interactive portions of this website are intended for parents, legal guardians, and other responsible adults acting on behalf of children.

Children under the age of 13 should not independently provide personal information through this website.

Story Rock adoption applications, purchases, event inquiries, email communications, photo or story submissions, and other interactions involving a child should be completed or submitted by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult.

If we learn that personal information has been submitted directly by a child under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise appropriately handle that information.

We love seeing the adventures Story Rocks have after finding their forever homes!

Parents and guardians may voluntarily share photographs, stories, artwork, Story Rock adventures, and other content with us or through our social media communities.

Parents and guardians should only share photographs, stories, or other information concerning children when they have the authority and permission to do so. Children should not independently submit photographs or personal information to us.

Submitting or posting content does not automatically give Every Rock Has a Story or Jessamine Hallow permission to use a child’s photograph, name, personal story, or other identifying information in a book or other publication.

From time to time, an adventure or experience shared by a Story Rock family may inspire an idea for a future Every Rock Has a Story book or appearance by an adopted Story Rock character.

If Jessamine Hallow is interested in incorporating a family’s submitted experience, photograph, story, or other information into a future project in a manner involving a child or identifying information, the child’s parent or guardian will be contacted for permission before such use.

Content posted directly to Facebook or another social media service is also subject to that platform’s own terms, policies, and privacy practices.
