Every Rock Has a Story events bring the books, characters, and imagination of the Story Rock Adoption Center to life!
Author Jessamine Hallow attends vendor markets and hosts community events at schools, libraries, churches, and other locations throughout Central Florida. These interactive events give children and families the opportunity to experience the series beyond the pages of the books.
Come Find Us in the Community!
Depending on the event, families may enjoy live readings from the series, discounted books, book signings, photos with Jessamine, and Story Rock character adoptions when characters are still available.
At all vendor events, and select school, library, church, and community events, you can also visit Anaya’s Story Rock Design Academy!
Anaya’s Story Rock Design Academy
At Anaya’s Story Rock Design Academy, kids and grown-ups become Story Rock Designers!
Choose a rock, use your imagination, and create a completely original Story Rock character of your own. When your creation is complete, you’ll officially graduate from Anaya’s Story Rock Design Academy and receive your very own Official Story Rock Designer Certificate.
Story Rock designing is $7 per rock, with supplies provided.
Availability at schools, libraries, churches, and other hosted community events depends on the activities selected by the hosting organization.
Families can also shop a growing collection of handmade Story Rock accessories, including Rockyards and other imaginative accessories created especially for Story Rock play. We also offer tiny toys and other fun finds perfectly sized for your Story Rock friends.
And if any of the original Story Rock characters from the current series release are still waiting for their forever homes, Story Rock Adoptions may be available at the event!
Because there are only 15 original character rocks released with each series, adoption availability is limited.

Bring the Story Rock Experience to You!
Looking for something a little different for a birthday, homeschool group, co-op, or private gathering?
You can host your own Every Rock Has a Story Author Event with Jessamine Hallow!
Private events are designed to give children a personal, interactive experience with the books and the world behind them.
Private Event Fee — $100
Every private event includes:
- A live reading from Every Rock Has a Story
- A Q&A with author Jessamine Hallow
- Photos with the author
- Book signing
- Books available for purchase at a special discounted event price
- The option to add Anaya’s Story Rock Design Academy
The $100 event fee applies to events in the Kenansville, and St. Cloud areas. An additional travel fee applies to events outside these areas.
Make your event even more interactive by giving every child the opportunity to create a Story Rock of their very own.
The Design Academy can be added for $7 per participating child/rock. Each participant creates and decorates their own Story Rock character and receives an Official Story Rock Designer Certificate when they’re finished.
All Story Rock painting supplies are provided.
Add a Real Story Rock Character as a Gift
Planning a birthday or another special celebration?
If an original Story Rock character is still available for adoption, a parent or grown-up may add a Story Rock Character Adoption for $15. We’ll package the adoption as a special gift for the child to open during their event.
Their adoption package includes the original, one-of-a-kind Story Rock character, their little blankie, a Story Rock stuffie, a signed Author Proof of their Story Rock’s feature book, and an official adoption certificate for the child to complete with their grown-up.
Because Story Rock characters are one of a kind and only 15 new characters are released with each series, private-event adoptions are available only while characters remain.
Whether you’re planning a birthday, homeschool gathering, library program, school activity, church event, or another special experience, we’d love to bring the Story Rock world to your children.
